About Us

Why We Exist

Millions of Christians know about God. Far fewer know Him personally.

Most of us didn't choose that gap, we inherited it. A parent's faith. A pastor's convictions. A favorite author's certainty. Someone, somewhere, pointed us toward God, and for a long time, that was enough to carry us.

But guidance was only ever meant to point the way. It was never meant to become the relationship itself.

Secondhand Faith exists to name that quiet substitution, not to criticize the people who shaped your faith, but to help you take the next step they were always hoping you'd take: knowing God for yourself.

We believe intimacy with God isn't reserved for pastors, authors, or people with a platform, it's available to every believer, including you.

From secondhand faith to firsthand faith. That's the whole journey, and it starts wherever you are right now.

What We Believe

The convictions behind everything we build.

01

Scripture is living and active, not just informative.

02

Faith matures through personal encounter, not borrowed certainty.

03

Honest questions are not enemies of faith.

04

Spiritual formation happens slowly, not on demand.

05

Identity precedes transformation.

06

God’s faithfulness is stronger than our inconsistency.

07

Intimacy with God is available to every believer.

Our Journey

Every stage of the path from borrowed to firsthand faith.

Stage One
Borrowed Faith
“I know about God.”
Stage Two
Awakening
“My faith feels hollow.”
Stage Three
Diagnosis
“I've been living on secondhand faith.”
Stage Four
Identity
“God already knows who I am.”
Stage Five
Encounter
“I've begun hearing Him personally.”
Stage Six
Formation
“I know how to walk with Him.”
Stage Seven
Manifestation
“I now help others experience Him too.”

Wherever you are on this journey, you don't have to walk it alone, or on borrowed faith.

Find out which stage you're in.

Founder's Note

I didn't set out to build a movement. I set out to answer a question I couldn't shake.

For years, my faith looked steady from the outside, I knew the language, but privately wondered if any of it was truly mine. For fifteen years I waited on a promise, leaning on my pastor's faith instead of my own, until I had a personal encounter with God over that exact situation. The moment I exercised my own faith instead of borrowing his, the promise finally manifested. Secondhand Faith is the resource I wish someone had handed me back then.
